2ND LECTURE TOPIC: JAN NERUDA’S ‘PRAGUE TALES’

Surely by now, everyone have visited the Lesser Quarter (Malá strana). Jan Neruda’s ‘Prague Tales’ is based on the author’s personal experience living in this quarter and it perfectly portrays the various people you could encounter here in the 19th century. Historical context and general overview of the status of Czech literature and Jan Neruda’s role in it will be discussed.
