Information and Advisory Centre

Besides providing information about the University, they also work closely with a range of professionals who provide University students and staff with expert advice and counselling services.
The Centre has several branches where we are always glad to help you.

 

 

 

  • They answer your questions concerning studying at Charles University, student life and the University in general.
    They can offer information and advice to potential applicants from the Czech Republic and abroad, current students, or anybody else with an interest in the University.
    They will put you in touch with the right person to answer your questions.
    You can visit them in person or contact them by phone, email or via the online office.
  • They offer free consultancy and advice for Charles University students on career issues, social and legal issues, plus counselling services.

  • They hold seminars on studying  abroad, career development, personal skills development, and much more.
  • They offer internet access. At the Celetná St. office there are twelve computer terminals which you can use to work on your study projects or just browse for study-related information.
  • They are also here for students with special needs. Their staff in the Office for Students with Special Needsare ready to help you – they will explain where and how to access the University premises and help you deal with any other situations you may encounter during your studies.
  • They will issue a card  for  you. The office at Celetná St. No. 13 includes one of the Charles  University’s  card  service  centres. The card service centre is open to the Charles University staff and students (who can come here to pick up cards and login details) as well as members of the public who wish to use  the  University’s services  (such  as libraries).
  • There is also a gift shop selling Charles University souvenirs and official merchandise.
