What is the ESNcard?

The ESNcard is the membership card of the Erasmus Student Network. As we are one of the local sections of ESN, we offer the ESNcard to both international students and active local members. It’s not just another card in your pocket, it is very useful - you will enjoy hundreds of discounts all over Europe with our partners such as Ryanair, FlixBus, Eurosender, Spotahome, Grammarly and many others! The aim of the ESNcard is to support and give opportunities to international students during and after their exchange.

Who uses the ESNcard?

The ESNcard is used by over 120.000 people per year in 40 countries, and the numbers are growing every year. You can get the ESNcard if you belong to one of the following groups:

  • You are currently an international student (e.g., Erasmus or any other exchange programme).
  • You are a volunteer in ESN CU Prague. (Other Czech students who are not members of ESN are not entitled to get the ESNcard).


How can you get the ESNcard and how much does it cost?

The ESNcard costs 600 CZK (approximately 24 €). The price also includes a Welcome pack with exclusive merch items! You can buy it:

  • Online: via the ESN App website. Register and pay in this event. You can then pick it up in our office during Office Hours.
  • In person: at our office during Office Hours (please note: payment by cash and in CZK only).

 

Unfortunately, you cannot obtain the physical ESNcard before your arrival to Prague.

 

After Online Payment (Important Steps):

After you proceed with the payment online, send an email to esncard@esncuprague.cz to receive your ESNcard number. Please include your:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • A screenshot of your QR code from the ESN App (proof of payment)

 

ESN CU Prague Discounts (Events & Trips)

With the ESNcard, you get reduced prices for our events! You can get a 100 CZK discount on our weekend trips and for our Welcome Party.

  • Online tickets: If you wish to get your trips or Welcome Party ticket with the discount online, you need to have your active ESNcard number added to your ESN App profile. Please make sure to purchase and activate it at least one week before the event registration.
  • In-person tickets: You can get a discount even if you come to our office during the office hours and buy the ESNcard together with the Welcome Party ticket (no need to have your ESNcard active at that point). However, this exception does not apply to weekend trips.

 

 

Activation & What is next?

IMPORTANT: After receiving your physical card, you have to register it on esncard.org! Please do not forget that it is not valid unless you activate it.

  • Activation can take up to 24 hours. After that, add your card number to your ESN App profile to get all the discounts you want!
  • You need to be able to present your physical card to claim discounts/special offers with partners.
  • The ESNcard is valid for exactly 12 months from the day you activate it.
